Netservers email services are hosted on clusters of mail servers across multiple data centers. While your mailbox might be distributed over several servers, we’ve engineered our system to keep the complexity hidden from you. The following settings will connect you directly to your mailbox regardless of the server hosting it.

Mail Server Settings

• Incoming Server (POP3 or IMAP): pop.netservers.co.uk
• Outgoing Server (SMTP): pop.netservers.co.uk
• Login Format: username@yourdomain.com
• Webmail URL: https://pop.netservers.co.uk/

Below are step-by-step instructions to configure your email account with either IMAP or POP3 on several popular clients and devices.

Configuring Your Email Account in Microsoft Outlook

1. Open Outlook and navigate to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
2. Click New to add an account.
3. Choose Manual setup or additional server types and click Next.
4. Select POP or IMAP and click Next.
5. User Information:
   • Your Name: Enter your display name.
   • Email Address: Use your full email address (e.g., username@yourdomain.com).
6. Server Information:
   • Account Type: Choose either IMAP or POP3 depending on your preference.
   • Incoming mail server: pop.netservers.co.uk
   • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): pop.netservers.co.uk
7. Logon Information:
   • User Name: Your full email address.
   • Password: Enter your email password.
8. Click More Settings:
   • Under the Outgoing Server tab, check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
   • Verify that Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
   • Under the Advanced tab, set the appropriate port numbers. (For example, use 993 for IMAP over SSL or 995 for POP3 over SSL. For SMTP, you might use 465 or 587, depending on your security requirements.)
9. Click OK, then Next to test your account settings.
10. Once the test is successful, click Finish to complete setup.

Configuring Your Email Account in Mozilla Thunderbird

1. Open Thunderbird and navigate to File > New > Existing Mail Account…
2. Enter your Name, Email Address (e.g., username@yourdomain.com), and Password.
3. Click Continue. Thunderbird will attempt to detect server settings automatically.
4. Choose Manual config if needed, and set:
   • Incoming:
     • Server: pop.netservers.co.uk
     • Protocol: Choose IMAP or POP3 as per your preference.
     • Port: (Use recommended secure ports such as 993 for IMAP/SSL or 995 for POP3/SSL.)
   • Outgoing (SMTP):
     • Server: pop.netservers.co.uk
     • Port: (Typically 465 or 587 for secure connections.)
5. Ensure that Authentication is set to Normal password.
6. Click Re-test to confirm the settings, then Done to complete the setup.

Configuring Your Email Account on Android Devices

1. Open your Email App (this may be Gmail, the default Email app, or another client).
2. Go to Settings and choose Add Account.
3. Enter your full email address (username@yourdomain.com) and tap Next.
4. Select Manual Setup.
5. Choose your account type: Select either IMAP or POP3.

8. Complete the setup and allow the app to verify the settings.

Configuring Your Email Account on iOS Devices

1. Open the Settings App and scroll down to Mail.
2. Tap Accounts and then Add Account.
3. Select Other and tap Add Mail Account.
4. Enter your Account Information:
   • Name: Your display name.
   • Email: Your full email address (username@yourdomain.com).
   • Password: Your email password.
   • Description: (Optional) A description for this account.
5. Tap Next and choose IMAP or POP.
6. Incoming Mail Server:
   • Host Name: pop.netservers.co.uk
   • User Name: Your full email address.
   • Password: Your email password.
7. Outgoing Mail Server:
   • Host Name: pop.netservers.co.uk
   • User Name: Your full email address.
   • Password: Your email password.
8. Tap Next. The device will verify your account settings.
9. If prompted, adjust the port and security settings:
   • For IMAP, use port 993 with SSL; for POP3, use port 995 with SSL.
   • For SMTP, use port 465 or 587 with SSL/TLS.
10. Tap Save to complete the setup.
